The Inter-American Centre for Knowledge Development in Vocational Training (ILO/Cinterfor) and the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) of Germany have agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish strong international ties in the field of vocational training.

The MoU aims to establish mutual support, collaboration, and exchange of information and knowledge. To this end, both institutions have designated a representative each, responsible for coordinating key areas of joint work, such as research projects, consulting services, and cooperative activities.

Furthermore, the parties commit to informing each other about their respective areas of work, outcomes, and publications, along with conducting study visits between the parties.

The MoU will be in effect for three years and establishes four main areas of work:

1. Strengthening regional alliances in the field of technical and vocational education, including support in the establishment and operation of regional networks.
2. Joint public relations development, including participation in conferences, publications, and references on websites.
3. Joint application for externally funded projects.
4. Implementation of expert dialogues for the exchange of information and knowledge on specific topics, such as study visits and other events.
