On Friday 4 November, ILO/Cinterfor coordinated and facilitated a panel of experiences on the promotion of curriculum design for qualifications, with the participation of Costa Rica, Chile and Colombia. This activity takes place in the framework of the course that Cinterfor is carrying out: Curriculum design in qualifications frameworks.

The experiences were presented by: 

• Laura Vargas from INA of Costa Rica.
• Marcela Arellano for the DUOC of Chile.
• Andés Jaramillo for the Ministry of National Education of Colombia.

Some of the main questions that guided the exchange were:

• What is the progress in populating the frameworks?
• How has the use of qualifications been promoted?
• How have education and training providers been motivated?
• What progress has been made in the design of qualifications-based programmes?
• What has been the role of different actors in promoting design?
